Connect Apple Health Kit to the HealthyLife® Portal
Connect Apple Health
Apple Watch, iPhone, and Apple Health are all able to sync with the HealthyLife® portal by way of the mobile app. Follow the directions below to install and sync your activity using the myWell app:
1. From the Portal
- Log in to the HealthyLife® Portal
- Go to Profile and then Mobile Access
- Click New to generate code and keep this window open
2. From your Phone
- Download myWell app from the app store
- Enter the code you just generated
- Upon successful login, a prompt will appear to request permission to pair with Apple Health
- Select Allow and/or Turn ALL Categories On to sync with Apple Health
3. Verify Data Sync
- Open the Apple Health app
- Choose Sources and confirm the MyWell app is listed as a connected source
- Ensure that the health data you wish to share is enabled
Please note that the MyWell app needs to be open to sync data from your Apple device. You will want to periodically open the MyWell app so that all data is updated.
Keep Things in Sync - Troubleshooting Syncing Issues for Apple Health
If your data isn’t syncing properly to the HealthyLife® Portal through the myWell app, try the following steps:
1. Ensure Permissions Are Granted
Open the Apple Health app.
Go to Sources > MyWell app.
Confirm all desired data categories (e.g., Steps, Workouts) are turned ON.
2. Reopen the myWell app
Make sure the myWell app is installed and updated to the latest version.
Open the app—Apple Health does not sync in the background unless the myWell app is launched periodically.
3. Check Internet Connectivity
Ensure your iPhone has a stable Wi-Fi or cellular data connection.
Try turning Airplane Mode on and off to reset connectivity.
4. Restart Devices
Restart your iPhone and Apple Watch.
Reopen the myWell app after restarting.
5. Revoke and Re-enable Apple Health Permissions
Go to Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices > MyWell.
Toggle off all categories, then reopen myWell and allow full access again when prompted.
6. Reinstall the MyWell App
Delete the app from your phone.
Reinstall from the App Store.
Log in again using your Mobile Access code from the HealthyLife Portal.
When prompted, allow full Apple Health access.
Disconnect Apple Health (if you ever need to)
Open the Health App on your iPhone.
Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner.
Select Privacy > Apps.
Tap myWell from the list of connected apps.
To stop sharing data:
Toggle OFF all health data categories you previously allowed.
Or tap Turn Off All at the top of the screen.
Note:
This action prevents the myWell app from reading or writing any future health data, but it does not delete previously shared data from Apple Health or the HealthyLife® Portal.
You can reconnect at any time by repeating the steps in Connect Apple Health
